Welcome to this week’s market update.
In Berkeley this week, there are currently 57 active listings on the market, a little light due to Labor Day’s weekend.
The Market Action Index this week for Berkeley is at 66, so Berkeley remains in a seller's market.
Three out of the top five cities in the United States where homes are being sold over list price are all in the Bay Area, and Vallejo ranked first!
According to the study by Zillow data, homes in Vallejo sold at 1.07% over the asking price. This means if a home listed for $500,000, it is sold for nearly $40,000 over asking price.
The other two cities rounded up the top 5 include San Franciso at 1.03%, and San Jose at 1.01%.
Apparently Vallejo is hotter than San Francisco. Will you live in Vallejo?
