The 50 year mortgage was not on my housing crisis bingo card. In a proposal designed to provide much needed affordability to the US housing market, policy makers are now floating the possibility of 50 year mortgages. How many Americans are looking forward to paying interest for half a century?

Meanwhile, as inventory one again begins to take off in Southwest Florida, many industry professionals may be creating a false sense of urgency for homebuyers as new FOMO emerges after New York City's recent election.
