We spent a week searching for land in Bohol, Philippines to help our friends who are moving from Australia… and ended up nearly buying a complete disaster ourselves.

What started as a simple land search in Corella Bohol, turned into a crash course in buying land in the Philippines — dodgy agents, inaccurate information, moving boundary lines, mystery “direct to owner” claims and a “perfect” lot we were literally hours away from paying a deposit, that revealed its true nature the moment the rain hit and saved us from a financial disaster!
