Monday Market Update | November 7, 2022
As we see another month pass, let’s look back at the statistics for the month of October. There were 2,534 homes sold in the state of Utah which is very low compared to the past 5 years in October. Typically, we see between 4,000 and 5,000 homes sell in October so that means we were 40%-50% lower than normal. Homes sat on the market for a median of 36 days with a median sale price of $490,000.00. We also saw homes sell at about 95% of their original list price which is decreased from the 98% that we saw in October’s past.
This is a very different market we are in today compared to the past 2 years or even the past 5 years when comparing the months of October.
