How to handle inherent challenges when selling real estate? Inherent challenges can cause some properties to remain on the market longer than most homes. Those can include: power lines, busy street, air traffic noise (being in a flight path), traffic noise (near a freeway), steep driveway or not ideal access and/or undesirable nearby amenities (gun range, etc), etc. Sellers with properties that have inherent challenges should plan on possibly being on the market a bit longer than the typical home in their area, because they will likely need more buyers through before they find that right buyer.
The most important thing you can do as a seller is hire the right real estate broker. A great broker will focus your marketing on all the strengths of the property and provide you with guidance on accurate pricing.
