Hello my dear subscribers! First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the New Year 2025. I wish you health and good luck this year. In this new video we will talk about food prices in Finland. There are three large grocery chains in Finland, which own different stores. The S Group company has the stores Prisma, S-market, Alepa, Sale, Food Market Herkku. The Kesko Corporation company has the stores K-Market, K-Supermarket and K-Citymarket. And the German company Lidl has the same name of the Lidl stores.

Also in Finland as in any other country there are shops of different nations of the world which are opened by immigrant businessman. For example in Helsinki you can find from different countries of Asia, Africa, Europe and America in these shops you can buy products that you cannot find in regular shops.

In this video, we dive into the cost of food in Finland. When it comes to Finland, one of the most frequently asked questions I get is: how expensive is food really? Whether you're a traveler, an expat, or a local, food prices can be a major concern, and in Finland, it's no exception. In this video, I'm going to dive into the world of food prices in Finland, and give you the lowdown on what to expect.

I went to the Prisma store and made a video especially for you of the prices of popular food products. Sometimes the camera in the video can move quickly over the price tags of products, so you can always press the Pause button and study the prices in more detail.

One of the biggest challenges people face when it comes to budgeting for food in Finland is the varying prices depending on the location. If you're living in Helsinki, expect to pay a premium compared to smaller towns and cities. Another factor to consider is seasonal availability - certain fruits and veggies are only available at certain times of the year, which can drive up prices. On top of that, Finland's climate means that a lot of produce has to be imported, which adds to the cost. Finally, food culture in Finland is all about quality over quantity, which can also bump up the price tag.

All of these factors combined can make it difficult to stick to a budget, especially if you're not familiar with the local food scene. And let's be real, who doesn't love trying new foods when they're traveling or living abroad? But in Finland, those impromptu purchases can quickly add up.

Food prices in Finland can be quite different depending on whether you're buying groceries or dining out. Groceries can range from relatively affordable to quite pricey, depending on the store and the quality of the products. For example, a loaf of bread can cost anywhere from 1 to 5 euros, depending on the brand and type. Dining out, on the other hand, can be a real splurge, with the average cost of a meal in a mid-range restaurant hovering around 20-30 euros per person.
