Ollie and Camilla at the Magical Modernist Mansion get interior design tips from Vanessa from Vanessa Leyland Interiors who is brim full of ideas and explanations about how best to dress a bed. And this is much appreciated because Ollie and Camilla are super excited to give their beautiful, rare, French antique bed, the dressing it deserves.

However, help does not just come in the form of something cosy and horizontal, but also in vertical form as Ollie and Camilla test their vertigo with a much needed scaffolding tower. It’s going to have innumerable uses in the medium to long term restoration work required at the mansion but let’s not forget too, the need to repair the leak in the bathroom - situated at the top of a 3.7 metre high wall.

It’s been so wonderful having Vanessa and the family to visit for a fleeting few days. Vanessa will return in a few weeks where we will embark on new adventures in the design sphere.

Meanwhile, next week, Ollie and Camilla put to use the new scaffold tower as well as doing some much needed work in the garden, now that Spring is finally upon us!
