Today’s episode of the renovation series is all about turning a tiny living room into something that actually feels open. We’re tearing out an old fireplace bump-out, rebuilding the wall full height, and adding about 30 square feet of new space.
My dad jumped in to help with the framing, and later the guys came over to finish it off — including sealing it up before dark. It’s crazy how much difference a small change like this makes to a room’s layout.
If you’ve ever thought about opening up your own space, this one’s for you.
In this video:
Removing old framing and electrical safely
Expanding a living room bump-out
Rebuilding a full-height exterior wall
Team framing with family and friends
Quick cleanup and close-in before dark
