Suspended between sky and sea is the Marseille home of French interior architect, Dorothée Delaye.

From the kitchen, it's possible to watch boats glide across the Mediterranean — a morning ritual Delaye cherishes — before stepping out onto one of the many balconies that float beneath ancient pines.

Time is elastic here — a feeling that's heightened by the 70s influences in the kitchen and bedrooms - and appreciated by the guests who arrive to recharge from busy Parisian schedules.

Intent on creating a seamless dialogue with nature, each room is anchored by Delaye’s own creations: from sunbaked ceramic coffee tables made in collaboration with local artisans, to the sinuous Zephyr Armchair, whose sculpted armrests recall the easygoing elegance of bygone eras.
