It’s a sobering topic, but we have to discuss death on the job.

Compared to other professions, being a real estate agent puts you at far greater risk for injury, assault, or even murder.

Why?

Because randomized acts of violence require opportunity.

And though we may not want to think of it this way, a house showing or open house easily turns into an opportunistic, no-witness crime scene.

Cash-and-point: the killers of the real estate agent mentioned in this video are still on the loose.

While there’s no way to make sense of these devastating acts of violence, there are ways to protect ourselves.

Make sure you always put your personal safety first while you’re in the field.
