Mice in the Shed, Elephant in the Room | Irish Homestead Dreams

We’re waiting… nervously, impatiently, and with everything hanging in the balance. Our buyer’s house is about to go to auction in the UK, and the result will decide everything — whether we can finally sell our house and move forward with the restoration of our derelict stone cottage in rural Ireland, or whether our dream renovation stays on hold indefinitely.

While we wait, a very different kind of problem shows up — mice in the shed. Again. What starts as a bit of pest control turns into a grim discovery and a long day of cleaning, clearing, and trying to keep morale up while our fate is being decided hundreds of miles away.

As the auction draws closer, tension builds. We’re trying to stay busy, but the truth is, everything rests on what happens next.
