It’s all about the pros & cons, ammirite?!????

We are very lucky to be where we are, no doubt. The stunning Victorian style home that our apartment is in is over 100 years old! It’s lovely and a true bucket list experience of mine.
.
But as a young-ish couple (I’m 35) that recently moved back to the US after living in South Africa for the past 7 years (and two years in South Korea before that!), I can’t help but feel A BIT OVERWHELMED and sticker shocked????
.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but dang. Rent and healthcare costs alone are enough to make me want to book a plane ticket????
.
But yes, it’s all give and take, right? Nowhere’s perfect. And yes we are crazy lucky to have what we have and grateful to be here. But it’s been an adjustment and the American dream seems to be a bit fuzzy at the moment. We’re all feeling it.

We perhaps could’ve shopped around, but we had a week to secure my husband’s job and move across the state -so we jumped on it. We love it all and all, but.. yeah????‍♀️
