In 2019, Hiroaki Sakaue, a Japanese real estate agent, was arrested for what appeared to be a kidnapping case involving two junior high school girls. However, the details of the case were unexpected. Sakaue had met the girls through Twitter, where they expressed a desire to run away from home. Offering them a place to stay, he promised to take care of their needs, including food and shelter, but under one condition—they had to study.

His peculiar vision of preparing them for a career in real estate, while not criminal in intent, violated legal boundaries
