Interior Architect Emily Pun gives us a home tour of her East London home, a once-neglected Victorian terrace which has now been transformed into a beautiful home with a calming palette and layers of natural texture.

The kitchen, reimagined with Architect Marilena Walton, opens into a bright side extension where oak beams, skylights, and sliding doors draw in natural light and create a seamless connection to the garden. Reclaimed red and black quarry tiles anchor the space, while oak cabinetry and a central island introduce warmth and everyday practicality. Tucked just off the kitchen is a butter-yellow powder room filled with carefully sourced eBay treasures and finished with a bold burgundy dado stripe for a playful twist.

While the kitchen feels open and sunlit, the north-facing living room embraces a softer, moodier character. Painted in mossy green and layered with natural textures, it becomes a cosy, cocooning space perfect for evenings in.

Upstairs, the main bedroom continues the home’s sanctuary-like feel with a soothing off-white palette and a dramatic canopy that lends a boutique-hotel touch. Discreet floor-to-ceiling wardrobes keep the room serene and clutter-free. The guest bedroom follows the same restful tone, lifted by energising pops of yellow and clever storage details designed to make visitors feel truly welcome.
