After six years of calling the UK home, my journey as a researcher has reached a crossroads. In this video, I reflect on my experiences both the highs and the uncertainties as an international researcher. The UK once felt like a place full of opportunity and academic freedom, but recent developments have changed that.

With drastic cuts to research funding and increasingly restrictive immigration policies, I now find myself questioning the very decision to move here. This isn't just about my career it's about identity, belonging, and the future of international scholarship in the UK.

I’m sharing my story in the hope that it resonates with others going through similar experiences, and to spark a conversation about the future of research, inclusion, and mobility in academia.
