Episode 7 of Season 4 of the Hearing Architecture podcast has Kimberley Hui interviewing Jocelyn Chiew, who is registered architect working at the @MelbourneCityCouncil as the director of City Design. Kim and Jocelyn discuss intersectionality in architecture. Intersectionality is a way of examining how different forms of oppression overlap and intersect to create complex experiences of discrimination. Jocelyn Chiew is the Director of City Design at the City of Melbourne and lives and works on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung country. Jocelyn concurrently holds a number of advocacy and volunteer roles in the design and property industries. Jocelyn is a trained Architect, Landscape Architect and Urban Designer. She is a member of GenVic's Put Her Name On It Reference Group and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
