The enchanting English countryside hamlet of Wycoller is like stepping into a movie set.
You can imagine, gnomes, a troll under the ancient packhorse bridge or an ogre in the hall ruins. This idyllic English countryside hamlet in Lancashire is remote and virtually car-free. It now forms part of a beautiful country park, so there are many trails you can walk and it is a great spot for a picnic on a sunny day. Charlotte Brontë passed Wycoller Hall on her way to visit friends and used Wycoller Hall as her inspiration for Ferndean in "Jane Eyre" You may have also seen the location in the 1970 film The Railway Children.
Join us as we have a wonderful walk around this magical English countryside hamlet and tell you a bit about its past.
