Dishwasher Leaking? In this step-by-step DIY I show how to pull a dishwasher from its cabinet, inspect the usual leak points (water inlet, water outlet, all connectors), and how the two PVC fasteners that hold the heating element can cause a leak — which is exactly what happened to ours. I finish with reinstall tips and a simple vinegar descale to remove odors. Perfect for DIYers, renters, and homeowners.

Pro tips
Turn off water and power before you start.
Keep a towel and a shallow pan under the hoses when disconnecting them.
If you smell rotten odors after fixing leaks, run a vinegar rinse + hot cycle to remove scale and biofilm.
Take photos while disconnecting — it makes reinstalling a snap.
