In this video, you’ll see a studio apartment for rent in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The apartment is listed at 120 USD per month, but is it a good deal? There are some things I forgot to mention in this video. I didn’t ask to see inside the apartment because I’m not in the market to rent it and didn’t want to waste the owner’s time. The price includes wifi. The ad states that there is a fan, so a pedestal fan is probably included. Electricity is charged at 1000 Riel per kWh and water is 2500 Riel per cubic metre - these are the standard rates for apartments. I would assume that a one-month deposit is required although this isn’t stated.

The building is aligned sideways on the block of land, so the front of the apartments faces east, and the wall with the kitchens and bathrooms faces west. This is good because you can isolate the bathroom by shutting the door and keeping some of that afternoon heat out of the main room. The apartments on the end closest to the street have an additional south-facing window.
