One of the most striking features of this home is the kitchen, a space that combines bold architectural choices with smart, budget-friendly materials. William took a unique approach to designing the larger-than-life kitchen cabinet, using oak plates to elevate its look. Interestingly, this is not the first time we’ve explored the idea of creatively reimagining materials in this series. In a previous episode, we saw Carine’s Mediterranean-inspired kitchen, where a similar technique was used.
The entryway tells another interesting story of transformation. The new configuration not only improved the flow of the space but also created a better-defined entryway that serves as both a practical dressing area and additional kitchen storage.
The living room tour is full of anecdotes about the signed pieces Babeth & William have on their home as well as how they live in their Parisian home. The living room has a beautiful built in library and the living room decor is a mix of neutral tones and lush greens.
One of the reasons Babeth and William fell in love with this house was the way the light moves through it. Downstairs, the home features a variety of lighting elements, from the soft glow of a lamp behind the seating area to accent lighting on the TV stand, wall library, and dresser. The garden reflects the same philosophy as the interior—beauty and function working together.
Back inside, Babeth gives us a tour of the children's room and the upstairs bathroom, spaces designed with both style and practicality in mind. The staircase leading up to these rooms is another area full of personality, adorned with colorful and meaningful artwork. The walls of this home tell a story. It’s a reminder that a home is not just about aesthetics but about the life that unfolds within it.
As we near the end of the tour, Babeth and William share their final thoughts on what it means to create a home. Their Parisian Home is curated, yet never at the expense of comfort or practicality. Their furniture is meant to be used, their art is meant to be enjoyed, and their design choices are meant to serve their family’s daily life.
A huge thank you to Babeth, William, and of course, our special guest Timothé for welcoming us into their home.
